If you enjoy being outdoors, exploring and swimming, you'll love (Super) Nova! Nova is an adorable, affectionate puppy. In foster care, she has gotten along brilliantly with the entire family: two parents, their three boys, a dog and a cat! When the old dog gets grouchy, Nova's easy-going nature allows her to confidently walk away with no hurt feelings. She is interested in the cat, but knows her boundaries and simply walks away if the cat is not in the mood to be sniffed.

This athletic, curious girl loves to swim and even puts her head underwater with eyes open to find things to play with. She easily learned how to safely get in and out of the pool, and she loves to often swim a few laps! She can entertain herself rolling down the backyard hill and chasing the toys and balls she purposely drops at the top. This smart girl knows her name and has learned lots of commands in a short time, such as ball, play, come, sit, and stay (briefly). She is kennel-trained and sits on command. With reminders, she will not jump up, although her exuberant greetings will melt your heart. She's working on her potty-training and goes in her crate for naps.

Nova has learned that a good body rub and massage is much better than nibbling on people's fingers to play. When taken out at night, she bravely guards the yard and barks at the shadows cast on the fence by the porch light. Her adorable, enormous ears make her a great listener. Don't wait! At only two months old, Nova is ready for lots of years of love and fun. This adventurous friend will be loving and loyal for life.

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
