The sweet and gentle devotion of Jessica Jones will remind you every day that you saved a life.

Jessica Jones was scheduled to be euthanized in a South Texas shelter but, with the help of a team of rescuers, she is now enjoying a comfortable life for what seems to be the first time, and has proven every day in foster that she was very much worth saving. She gently tapped her foster's arm on the way home, and she very politely offered her paw to be held and left it there the whole way back. She is a very grateful and adorable girl.

Jessica is very careful, calm, and quiet. She is currently very low-energy and is confused about her cushy new life but is so calm and happy. She is very pleased to go on a slow walk, shadow you while you do house chores, and sleep on the floor next to you while you work or relax. She is easy to please and won't mind your long work days one bit. She walks well on the leash, and is the gentlest treat-taker you've ever seen in your life.

Jessica is sweet and respectful to the elderly dog in her foster house. She's just happy and grateful to be in a comfy home. She would be a great choice for a person or family who is looking for a low-energy and gentle companion.

She is working on potty training and crate training and nearly has it down in the first few days. She learned her first trick on day two (sit) but doesn't seem to have any other "vocabulary" in English or Spanish (yet!). She has some health issues that will require care. She is heartworm positive, but will receive treatment at APA!'s expense, and she has some physical oddities that may or may not be purely cosmetic. Notably, she has a very special wonky/cloudy eye that gives her a unique appearance.
