Crackle is ready to take a crack at being your best friend!

Crackle had a rough start to life, but nothing gets this pup down! He loves to follow his humans and be their little shadow in all their adventures. He soaks up all the affection he can get, and will just melt in your hands if you offer cuddles and pets. He loves embracing the good life full of crunchy sticks, ropes to tug, and bugs to chase. He especially likes to "tag" his brother in a game of chase or wrestle him for a toy. He LOVES to cuddle with humans and will go still and just drink in all the affection he can get!

Crackle is a sweet, calm, super smart boy. He's already started to learn the "no", "go potties", "off", and "come" commands. He's well on his way to being crate trained, and has spent up to five hours at a time in his crate at home without an accident. He never had an accident in his crate yet! However, he will let you know if he needs to go out sooner with some barks, and then he goes on command as soon as he's outside. What a good boy! He's eager to please his humans and would love to continue his training in his new home. Crackle is highly trainable and a great dog for any activity you want to teach him! Inside the house, Crackle is good about spending time in his crate quietly observing his surroundings without barking. He plays with his litter mate brother well and would enjoy another doggy playmate in his forever home.

Crackle is only 8 weeks old, so he will need someone that can be with him the majority of the day until he gets a bit older. He is also currently on some medication for a minor skin issue that is clearing up. Crackle would probably do well in most any home that can provide a structured, daily schedule and a safe space to romp and play outside multiple times a day. Crackle will be most successful in a new home that will continue his crate training and command training.

Are you ready to take home this A+ pup? Crackle is ready to show you what an amazing dog he can be! Come meet him today!

PUPPIES AND OTHER HIGHLY-ADOPTABLE DOGS DISCLAIMER:

Puppies and other highly-adoptable dogs (small dogs or desirable-breed dogs) at APA! are very high in demand and usually have several interested adopters. Inquiring about a dog, meeting a dog, and even applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will be able to adopt the dog. Only one household will be able to adopt each dog, which means all other interested households will inevitably and unfortunately be disappointed. Please consider this in your search and set your expectations accordingly. Please also consider that adult dogs do not typically have competing adopters, and they need furever homes, too! Additionally, APA! does not allow the adoption of dogs who are related (e.g., littermates or mom and pup) to the same household for behavioral reasons.
