Sitter needed: 09/24/21 - 09/26/21

Reba is such a cuddle bug! She enjoys sitting on people's laps, loves her head being scratched and adores belly rubs. She's quick to roll over for those. She loves to snuggle on the couch with her head on her person's leg. Now in foster care, she also enjoys exploring the yard and chewing on sticks. She even shares a stick with her doggie housemates, each pulling an end of it.

This gentle girl came from a difficult life. She's hesitant when she meets men but she is quicker to warm up to women. And now she's very happy with her fosters. Once she trusts you, she becomes very comfortable. She shares rooms and the backyard with the fosters' two dogs and does great with them. She also sits next to their teenage son, laying her head on his shoulder while he rubs her head.

A curious girl, she is a great leash walker. She's a very easygoing, obedient girl who's a very quick learner. At home, she answers to "no," immediately stopping what she's doing. When she hears "Do you want to go out?" she runs to the door, being completely house-trained. And when she's out in the yard, she explores and sniffs, and even tries to pounce on gecko lizards. She relaxes nicely in her crate, curling up on her blanket, and does well while her fosters are away. With the other dogs, she can be food aggressive, so she eats separately.

Reba will love a home with parents who are there a lot, although she will do well while they're away at work. She'll be content as the only pet, but will do well with dog buddies after she becomes comfortable with them. And she will love a yard to explore. Come meet her. Give her some praise and affection and she'll follow you home!

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

We are currently closed to the public and are only open by appointment (foster or adopter), but we are still diligently working to place dogs in foster homes! You can inquire about fostering a specific dog by submitting an inquiry through the dog's individual profile on this website or by emailing [email protected] to get more information about how to be matched with a foster dog.

Please do not visit our shelters without talking with us first. To prevent community spread, we cannot have large crowds gathering in our shelters.
