If you're looking for a running buddy, Bolo will be happy to apply. This active young boy enjoys long walks and would love to be your hiking and running buddy. But if you're busy and don't have that much time, he can be your backyard playmate. He also loves playing fetch and tug-o-war. And he can entertain himself by chewing those sticks he sees and finding lots of toys. He'll pick up one toy after another and seems to wish he had a big mouth and could carry a bunch of them.

This energetic, playful boy has been very friendly to people he's met. He enjoys his leash walks and does well, just weaving and slightly pulling. He's interested in people he sees and wags his tail at them. He's just curious when he sees cats, and a bit shy when a dog passes by. At home, he'll put his head in your lap and nuzzle your hand for petting.

He's very smart and eager to learn. He's learned to obey "sit" and is making progress on "off" and "stay." He'll try to take things to his kennel that aren't toys and chew them, but hasn't destroyed anything. He is house-trained and sleeps through the night in his crate with a few toys to chew.

Bolo will love a home with active parents who can continue his training and take him on those walks, hikes and runs he loves. Or he can be happy with a fenced yard where he can run and play with his toys. And he should do well with doggie housemates. Come meet him. Offer to take him on a run and he'll speed home with you.

INTERESTED IN FOSTERING?

We are currently closed to the public and are only open by appointment (foster or adopter), but we are still diligently working to place dogs in foster homes! You can inquire about fostering a specific dog by submitting an inquiry through the dog's individual profile on this website or by emailing [email protected] to get more information about how to be matched with a foster dog.

Please do not visit our shelters without talking with us first. To prevent community spread, we cannot have large crowds gathering in our shelters.
