Mobley is a very calm, quiet lap pup who loves attention from his humans and for sure wants their petting, especially on his ears and shoulders. He is a partially disabled boy, but he's still lively, playful and fun-loving. He's part poodle and dachshund who lives with five dogs, big and small, and loves playing tug-o-war and chase with them. And he's friendly with visiting children, loving to be petted by them, too.

This sweet boy's back legs became paralyzed two years ago because of a spinal disc disease that affects dachshunds. His owners have provided surgery, therapy, rehabilitation and care and today he is a happy, lively boy. He has a wheelchair, but prefers being out of it to walk with his front legs. He drags his back legs, and they do well when he goes fast on grass and carpet. If he goes across concrete, he can wear booties or medical tape to protect his back feet.

He loves being taken for rides in strollers, wagons and golf carts, and at home he has fun sniffing in the backyard. He used to be a very picky eater, but now he absolutely loves HEB's chicken jerky and greenie dental bones. Given new toys, he loves to gleefully tear their squeakers out right away. He also loves naps. He has two beds, and they are his happy places. He loves them and when told "go to bed," he will run and jump in them. A smart boy, he also understands "come" and "wait." He also has a kennel and will sleep in it if the door is open. He needs help expressing his bladder.

He is a sweet boy who will make an awesome companion for parents who have a bit more time to care for him. He'll make up for it in the love he returns. Come meet this very lovable boy.
