A private donation from one Austin resident this year allowed us to open two new adoption sites. The $20,000 from the donor who wishes to remain anonymous gave us the funds we needed to open a full-time adoption site for dogs at the PetSmart Mueller development and a full-time adoption site for cats at the PetSmart Ohlen Road location.
"Our donor wanted to make an investment that would have a meaningful return," said our APA! president, Dr. Ellen Jefferson.
We estimate that this donation will save between 500 and 1,000 additional dogs and cats this year.
