Meet Axl Rose! He's got eyes of the bluest skies as if they thought of rain. Oh, sweet child o' 2013.
On January 2, this beautiful black bear came to APA. The first kitten of the season. He is only a couple of weeks old and still on the bottle, and staying in a foster home. When APA first got him he was pretty thin and covered in fleas. With some TLC, he is now a happy and fluffy kitten. He is a crawling, talking roly-poly of a cat. Appropriately named, Axl's screams sound just like the hard rock singer. His foster tells us that he loves kisses on his head. The motherly affection quiets and soothes him. He also rolls over on his back and purrs loudly for belly rubs.
We just got word this morning that the second litter will be entering the Neonatal Program today. Soon we will meet the B1's! Kitten season is obviously starting very early this year, so we will need your help sooner than expected.
Last year it was raining kittens for months, so the number one priority right now is to build up the foster program as fast as possible. A warm and caring temporary home is the safest, fastest, and most direct way to save a life. We will have bottle babies, gruel babies, and eating-on-their-own kittens. We will have litters and singletons. We will even have moms, who feed their babies for you! We will match your lifestyle with the right foster fit. Consider signing up as a foster today, and tell your friends and family too! Help us prepare for 2013 kitten season!
