Austin City Council to Announce 1st Annual "Love Your Rescue Pet Day"!

Austin Pets Alive! is thrilled to announce a great benchmark for animal lovers everywhere:

On June 20th, 2013, Love Your Rescue Pet Day will be announced as an official proclamation day by the Austin City Council! The celebration of the 1st annual day will be held on Saturday, June 22nd.

Love Your Rescue Pet Day will be an annual celebration to show our pets how much we support them. It's a day to let your pet know that THEY rescued YOU. It's a day to pamper your pet and shower him or her with love. It's a day to celebrate the joys of adoption.

We will be celebrating this day with adoption specials, special events at dog parks and dog friendly restaurants, and by fundraising to keep Austin the largest No-Kill city in the U.S.

We would like to invite local businesses to help support the shelter pets of Austin and surrounding communities by pledging to donate 5% of your sales to Austin Pets Alive! on Saturday, June 22nd. Your tax-deductible donation will go directly to Austin Pets Alive's life saving efforts.
