Austin Pets Alive! Hosts $10 “Spring Cleaning” Adoptions Non-profit organization aims to increase adoptions in order to help Central Texas shelters with kitten and puppy season.
WHAT: To make room for the increased amount of pets coming into Town Lake Animal Center and shelters throughout Central Texas due to the Spring season, Austin Pets Alive! will be hosting $10 adoptions for cats over 6 months of age and dogs over 30 pounds. The organization hopes that with increased adoptions this weekend, they'll have more room to pull animals at risk of euthanasia at surrounding-area shelters as Spring will crowd shelters with litters of puppies and kittens. Visuals of potential adopters looking at cats and dogs and interviews with APA! staff are available.
WHERE: The APA! Adoption and Resource Center at 2807 Manchaca Road and APA! adoption sites located throughout the city. All locations can be found at http://www.austinpetsalive.org/.
WHEN: Saturday, March 12 through Sunday, March 13. All adoption locations will be open from 12p.m to 6 p.m.
