We have possibly the sweetest chihuahua ever in our program. He came into our program Sunday, after he was attacked by another dog in his family and then taken to TLAC to be euthanized. A piece of his snout was ripped off - the lower part of his nose and the skin above his lip. Click here to see a photo of Chico before surgery (warning, this is graphic). Dr. Jefferson put him back together on Monday and he is doing so well! He looks much better and has been the perfect little patient. He's in a quiet foster home now healing. In total, his care is probably going to cost about $300. APA! can always use donations to our medical fund to help pay for helping dogs like Chico and extra foster homes who can provide a week or two for dogs who need some time to rest before going to our adoption sites.
