Poor little Evander came to Austin Pets Alive! after having a severe infection in his feet and nose. The skin was peeling off and so raw that he couldn't walk on three of his feet.
We think that he stepped (and smelled) something such as an acid that burned him badly. Poor boy has been through the ringer, but he hasn't stopped purring through it all. (He is named Evander because he right ear has been injured and curls down to make it look like it is partially missing.)
Evander is so happy being petted and will 'head butt' anyone within arms reach. And, now that his antibiotics and pain medicine have kicked in, he is ready for a new home.
Please consider fostering or adopting little Evander. He is gorgeous, sweet, and a survivor!
Although Evander is FIV+, please don't let that stop you from adopting him! With good nutrition and friendly indoor environments, cats with this condition can live long, happy, healthy lives. FIV is passed through blood transfusions and through serious, penetrating bite wounds.
