Meet Armstrong! He is the cutest little thing! This poor guy was found and brought to TLAC with a severely mangled front leg. It appeared that there were puncture wounds which led the vets to surmise that he was attacked by a big animal. Since we don't have many bears or mountain lions running loose in Austin, it was most likely caused by a dog. We were all hopeful that given a chance, his leg would heal. Unfortunately, the decision was made yesterday that his leg would have to be amputated. It is just not healing correctly and is causing him a lot of pain. He is a very whiny little fellow, but as his foster mom, I'm thinking he will feel much better without his leg. He's a real active boy and he has been frustrated dragging his gimpy leg around, he is going to have so much fun zooming around without it! I'll keep you all posted, this boy is a real lover doll.
