And there is a day for GIVING BACK: November 29 is #GivingTuesday!

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving, fueled by social media and collaboration designed to remind people to donate to their favorite causes during the busy holiday season.

Our pets give us so much love and companionship and #GivingTuesday is a day to give something back to them. Mark your calendar now and give back on November 29 to help Austin’s pets by:

• Being part of the #GivingTuesday Day of Service at APA! or donating items from our Wish List.


• Making a donation to help us reach our #GivingTuesday match amount.


• Offering your heart and home to a pet in need of foster.


• Giving a forever home to one of our adoptable pets.

In 2016, APA! established the Annual Fund. This represents the total amount needed to do our lifesaving work. It is the amount we must raise each and every year to save the more than 7,000 pets that are at risk of being killed elsewhere. Your #GivingTuesday donation contributes to the Annual Fund and helps ensure that Austin remains the safest place in the country for homeless pets.
