Hi! I'm Dayjah.
They say that beauty is only skin deep and I’m hoping you’re a believer! My aging Mom was no longer able to care for me and my brother so we were sent to the shelter. We were grieving because we had lost Mom and were scared to death because we knew this was the end of the road for the both of us. I mean, we’re not spring chickens anymore and we’re obviously not vain. But the good folks at APA looked beyond our “limitations” and said – “they’re housetrained, easy-going, no medical or behavior problems; what laid back person wouldn’t want us and make our twilight years happy?” It looked as if their prediction was going to come true - a lovely person was going to take both my brother and me because we’ve been together all of our ten years but they ended up only taking him and now I’m left all alone, living on memories and dreaming of the day that someone will point at me and say – “I’ll take THAT girl.”
I also need to tell you that being the grandmotherly type I naturally enjoy the company of little kids (ah youth!) and other dogs.
I am lucky in that I get to love more than one family in my lifetime...will it be yours?
