The resolution we reported on earlier, directing the city manager and staff to develop a plan to spay/neuter an additional 2,000 dogs and cats per year was passed by City Council today.
Once again coming to the aid of our homeless pets, Mayor Pro Tem Mike Martinez added a clause to the resolution tying the 2,000 spay/neuters to an additional 2,000 live outcomes.
City staff has 6 weeks to develop a plan to present to City Council on November 5th.
We eagerly await the details from this planning process and will report on them as soon as we have them.
Thank you very much to our City Council for passing this Resolution to get Austin closer to No Kill!
