Welllll....Cashmere, or as she's now called, Annie*, immediately pulled on my heartstrings because of the way her ears were cut. What impressed me so much was her attitude toward people. In the first five minutes after we met she was kissing me and it was obvious she was as sweet as could be.
My boyfriend and I went to visit her the next day (yesterday) because I volunteered to take the photos of the new pups anyway. We sat in the pen with her and she crawled into my lap and didn't want to budge. She even let me clean her ears which were atrocious. It was pretty much love at first lick. I wanted my boyfriend to agree that she was the one for us and by the end of the day, we decided she was going home with us. While she did decide to take a nice poop the minute we got her into our home, she's well loved and adjusting nicely. Our chiweenie, Shorty, is adjusting to her as well. Her ears are now impeccable and she's sleeping soundly on our carpet. I'll keep you posted, meanwhile I'm attaching some pics of the sleeping soundly part.
* We named her Annie because it was Anne Frank who said, "I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart" and we believe this captures Annie's attitude toward people after everything she's been through.
