Jonas was found in a gas station near U.S. 183 and FM 973 in Travis County. He was found in the gas station garbage can, in obvious pain, trying to get the attention of anyone who passed by. His body covered in what appeared to be abrasions and burns.
He is now slowly recovering from what we believe was an unhappy start to life. His foster says Jonas "is starting to act like a normal dog (puppy). He is so starved for love, and playful. I think he's working through his pain."
Some of the wounds appeared to be burns and sores on the pads of his feet.
We're not sure if he was dumped, or if he crawled into it looking for food. But we're happy he is with us now!
Jonas walks well on a leash, gets along with humans and other dogs, (we're not so sure about cats right now) and is being treated for his injuries. Jonas is also looking for his forever home, a home that will care for him and show him that life is fun and happy! E-mail [email protected] if you're interested in giving Jonas a home.
