Sweet Chloe was taken into the shelter with severe neglected demodex manage and a horrible secondary infection that developed from the untreated mange. Chloe, which means “blooming”, has certainly lived up to her name since she was picked up from the shelter. What a difference a week of love and kindness can make!
Under the wonderful care of her foster Mom, Chloe has a bounce in her step. With each bath, her existing fur becomes cleaner and she’s looking even better than expected. This girl is determined to recapture her former beauty for all to see.
Chloe is still mostly bald and scabby. She doesn’t smell like roses yet! The good news; she’ s acting and playing like a happy dog should and she is starting to trust her foster Mom to hold her and bathe her, although, she is not a fan of taking baths.
Chloe is still a little fearful and hasn’t grasped the concept of inside vs outside. She will need lots of love and support to regain her confidence and will also need house training.

Chloe will need to continue treatment to completely blossom and you can help with a donation to her. The long-term mange treatment includes medicine to treat the mange, antibiotics, pain medication, skin scrapes, and continual shampooing and will cost $200.
