This is Maria, a dilute Calico kitten that was brought to the shelter on May 10th after being found stranded on the upper deck of I-35. Poor thing was skinny, covered in fleas, and very dirty. She just looked so sad at the shelter, but once again, APA! came to the rescue! She has now had her vaccinations and flea treatment, and most importantly a warm, safe place to sleep and play.
Maria has made her way to a foster home with kittens her age and now this sweet girl is having fun socializing and playing with toys. She also got a much needed bath (which she did not resist in the slightest). Her grey and blond coloring is accentuated nicely with white whiskers & white feet. She's a dainty girl, and enjoys the company of other kittens, cats & dogs. She LOVES to be held. She has acclimated nicely, considering her rough start in this world.
She is 7 weeks old, and in about another week when she weighs 2 lbs. she will be spayed and receive her booster vaccinations. Then she can immediately go to a forever home! If you are interested in adopting Maria, send an email to [email protected].
