Austin Pets Alive! is celebrating Love Your Rescue Pet Day on Saturday, July 16, 2016
July 12, 2016 (Austin, TX)- Austin Pets Alive! is celebrating Love Your Rescue Pet Day, their annual day of giving on Saturday, July 16, 2016. This year APA! supporters can shop at participating businesses who will donate back a portion of their day’s sales, stop by their adoption event at the Town Lake Animal Center shelter and attend their celebratory event at the ABGB Saturday evening.
After an official city proclamation declaring July 16, 2016 to be Love Your Rescue Pet Day, Austin residents are encouraged to support Austin Pets Alive! by shopping and dining out at participating businesses on this recognized day of giving in Austin. More than thirty businesses have confirmed their participation in all the day’s events.
Austin Pets Alive! will also be celebrating the day by hosting a Love Your Rescue Pet Day adoption event from 11:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 16 at their Town Lake Animal Center location, 1156 W. Cesar Chavez, Austin, TX 78703. Austin Pets Alive! will offer $16 adoption fees on animals 6 months or older in an effort to promote adoptions during the summer months when intake levels are at their highest.
This inaugural adoption event is thanks to corporate sponsor, HostGator. “After helping many Austinites connect with new furry children last year,” said Kyler Patterson, Customer Growth Manager for HostGator.com, “We knew we had to do something more with Austin Pets Alive!. We're extremely excited to sponsor APA! and be a part of Love Your Rescue Pet Day!” HostGator will also be on site at Town Lake Animal Center offering branded swag and dog biscuits alongside APA!’s merchandise table with t-shirts and Love Your Rescue Pet Day branded accessories for purchase.
The Love Your Rescue Pet Day party will be held on July 16 from 6 p.m. - 10 p.m. at The ABGB located at 1305 W. Oltorf, Austin, TX 78704. Party attendees will enjoy live entertainment from Suzanna Choffel, a pet bowl auction with bowls created by local notables and artists, games, puppies, an interactive photo backdrop, vendor booths and a chance to try ABGB’s latest APA!APA beer release.
