Meet Connor, a special guy who needs a special home. He’s a flexible kitty who likes kids, dogs and other cats and adjusts quickly to new environments. With his laid back attitude, he would make an excellent only cat—or an easy addition to a busy multi-animal home.
Connor has a food allergy. Food allergies can manifest as ear infections, flaky skin, and digestive problems. Connor's type of allergy has caused Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), which means that he has to eat one specific food and take daily medication. His foster has spent a lot of time finding just the right food for Connor (Natural Balance Venison and Green Pea canned - available at Petsmart and Petco), so his adopter will be able to provide easy care! He takes a mild steroid twice a day with a Pepcid shooter, and takes his pill very easily. Connor is a lucky boy in that his IBD is easily managed and he loves his food!
Connor needs a forever home that is willing to keep him on his special diet and medication. He’s an affectionate boy who is totally worth the small effort. He has excellent litter box manners (he once used the litter box in a moving car!). Connor is an APA! favorite, and loves to have his long, soft hair brushed. He comes when he is called and seems to seriously understand the meaning of "No" when he gets into the standard kitty mischief! He happily sharpens his claws on a scratching post rather than use the furniture.
Connor's adopter will be richly rewarded by providing the care he needs. He is a mellow and loving kitty who is a joy to have! To read more about Connor, visit his adoption page, or send an email to [email protected].
