Meet Lopez! Lopez is a 4yr old Australian Cattle Dog Mix that arrived at APA the beginning of August. Unfortunately Lopez has some pretty serious medical/orthopedic issues. Lopez was diagnosed with bilateral elbow arthritis and now, just this week, was diagnosed with a cranial cruciate tear (similar to ACL tear) in his back right leg. While normally, if pain medications are given, this surgery can wait months to repair; but because Lopez has arthritis in his front elbows he needs surgery sooner than later to avoid further injuring himself.
