Lionel, the creamy puff ball, is by far the most handsome cat of 2012. He practically lives in the arms of APA staff. Someone is always holding him because his affection is irresistible and he loves the attention. There’s no denying he is the office stud. He is currently vacationing in the executive office with Dr. Jefferson while he waits for clearance into the FeLV ward. Lionel is Feline Leukemia positive, which means he has a compromised immune system and will live a shorter life than healthy cats. However, nothing about that means Lionel doesn’t deserve to spend the rest of his life in a forever home.
He would be a great first cat for someone because he is beyond easy going. He doesn’t care at all if you hold him like a baby or squeeze his cheeks. He doesn’t care if you use his napping body as a typing cushion to prevent carpal tunnel. In fact, he will even whip his tail around and push “Send” for you while you are in the middle of an email. He doesn’t even mind filing your papers and folders on the floor for you.
Even though he would never hurt a fly, he can be cutely protective. If a bird gets too close to the window, he will stand in between you and the bird and let out a low rumble.
He doesn’t talk too much, but he always makes it a point to say good morning. Anyone would be lucky to have such a calm and loyal companion.
