Paddle for Puppies 2013!

Registration is now open for the 2013 Paddle for Puppies which is sponsored by Austin Subaru, Austin American Statesman, Rowing Dock, Austin Fit Magazine and Austin Paddle Sports. The event benefits Austin Pets Alive!’s parvovirus treatment program for sick dogs and puppies.

This year’s paddle will begin at the rowing dock on Ladybird Lake, have a turn-around/snack spot at the Austin American Statesman on the river (just past the Congress street bridge) and then paddlers head back to the dock.

Everyone that registers is welcome to bring their own kayak, standup paddle board, or canoe but there are also 100 available to rent and 100% of the proceeds from the renting will be donated to the APA! program.
The event will take place on August 25th 2013 but is capped at 250 participants so register early to secure your spot.
Participants are welcome to bring puppies (that are confident in water) and everyone is encouraged to wear a life jacket to promote safety during the fun event.
