We're so excited to announce an event that we've been planning with our new partner, CAG- Austin Subaru: Pedal for Puppies, an urban bike ride whose route is the shape of a puppy head.
The event will take place on November 13th at 8:30 am at Austin Subaru. We'll be having a party and adoption event during and after the race.
Sign up online before or on September 30, 2010 for $25. All registrations from October 1, 2010 to October 31, 2010 will be $35. November 1st to November 13th will be $40. Anyone who registers before 11/12 receives a performance tech t-shirt (thanks to Austin Fit Magazine!) and all will be invited to share the food and drink we're setting up for the party at Austin Subaru.
This event marks the first with a special new partner of ours, CAG - Austin Subaru. This is a long-term partnership, but they have a short-term goal this year: raise $20,000 to sponsor the Behavior Rehabilitation Center (dubbed our "naughty dog center") at our new building.
We're so happy that our new building is going to allow us to take on dogs we had a hard time helping in the past: non-aggressive dogs who never received training, are usually high-energy, and have found ways to amuse themselves that aren't particularly "appropriate" (like Curly, whose idea of fun at adoption sites was jumping out of his pen and stealing purses or pulling down pants).
We're really excited about our partnership with CAG-Austin Subaru, who is committed to helping end the needless killing of homeless dogs and cats in our community. Stay tuned for more announcements on how they are helping save Austin's pets!
