Austin Pets Alive! is proud to announce our new Pets for Vets program on the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. As part of the program, we will be working with the local Veteran Affairs office to encourage veterans in the Austin area to join our Big Brother/Big Sister program.

A lot of research has been done that points to the amazing benefits companion animals have for our veterans, especially those with a mental health and/or physical diagnosis. We believe the Big Brother/Big Sister program will help our veterans take advantage of those benefits while also helping the dogs in our program benefit from love and companionship.

Additionally, Austin Pets Alive! is now offering 50% off adoption fees for all animals over 3 months for active military members or veterans with their VA card.
