Micki’s story started off as a sad one. She was rescued when she was only 4 months old after being severely beaten, left with 2 broken legs, her pelvis fractured in 2 places, and a hernia. We’re not sure why things like this happen, but we were sure lucky to bring her in and let her heal. Many donors from all across Texas contributed to the multiple surgeries that were necessary for her survival & comfort. We know she is blessed to have so many supporters.
Now, she is a year and a half old and ready for the right home. She loves large dogs, including labs and pits. In fact, a pit mix was her best buddy when she was in foster. Micki will occasionally “nip” and the human hands that pet her…she has learned to stick up for herself, and we don’t blame her! She would do well with other cats if given some time to warm up to them, and would do well by herself, and would LOVE to be around dogs. There are no obvious signs that she suffered such severe injuries; she has healed wonderfully. Micki just needs a loving family that will ensure she is safe & loved at all times.
