Strut Your Mutt Austin!

We are thrilled to be participating in Best Friends Animal Society's annual Strut Your Mutt fundraiser, being held in Austin this year for the very first time! Last year, Best Friends Animal Society’s annual Strut Your Mutt fundraiser raised $700,000 for participating animal rescue groups and Best Friends, and it is APA!'s goal this year to raise $40,000 to help us continue to save the lives of dogs and cats in the Austin area!

Want to help raise funds and walk with APA! friends on Saturday, September 29 at The Triangle? You can sign up to join our walking dog pack here. You will have the option to choose from Individual Walker, Join a Dog Pack, or Create a Dog Pack. To join the APA! team, select "Join a Dog Pack" and pick Austin Pets Alive! from the dropdown menu. If you're interested in helping raise funds but can't do the walk, you can also sign up to be a virtual fundraiser or donate to our team captain, APA! executive director Dr. Ellen Jefferson, to help us achieve our $40,000 goal!

Not sure where to start? Here are some goals we've put together:

• $100 (Provides the milk needed to feed a litter of kittens)


• $250 (Provides the necessary medicines to save a parvo puppy)


• $500 (Covers all preventative care - vaccines, microchip, tests, etc - for 5 dogs and cats)


• $1000 (Spays/neuters 14 dogs and cats)

We'll have prizes for those reaching each amount, as well as prize packages for the top three fund raisers! (Prizes to be announced at a later date.)
