Daisy is waiting for her moment in the sun. What's more, she truly deserves it. Daisy is a beautiful spirit who's lived several lifetimes in her 7 years. Before she came to APA!, she spent a lot of time alone on a chain. The experience left her teeth worn down, but her sweet light not the slightest bit dimmed.
Now, Daisy is surrounded by people and dogs all day long. It's a drastic change, a good one in many ways, but still not the life she should be living. Daisy needs a home. A real home where she is loved, pampered, cuddled, and talked to. She won't object to being sung to either.
Daisy loves going for walks and will romp like a puppy during a game of fetch. She is also content to sit quietly with her person. She would be happy to rest her head against you while you read or watch a movie together. She seems to have decided that she'd prefer going to a single dog home. With a future that's been so hard won, we really can't blame her. Daisy deserves, for the first time in her life, to be "the one" to someone.
Seven years of neglect have also left Daisy with heartworms. Fortunately, APA! has raised the money to treat Daisy so that she can spend her new life as a happy, healthy canine lady. We would love to pay for that treatment for Daisy's adopter or to find a foster home where she can start treatment today and step into her future free of any burdens from her past.
Daisy is a strong, happy girl who hasn't let life's challenges get her down. She's ready for her new beginning and will bring sunshine and joy into the life of the person who finally brings her home.
