Temporary Injunction Regarding Neville
October 21, 2015 (Austin, TX)- This morning, Austin Pets Alive! filed an Application for Temporary Restraining Order and Petition For Temporary Injunction with the Travis County Courts.
APA! is pleased to report that Travis County Court Judge Wong just signed an Agreed Temporary Injunction, which prevents the euthanasia of Neville until the case is fully adjudicated.
APA! wishes to thank David Escamilla, Annalynn Cox and Sharon Talley and the entire Travis County Attorney's Office for their agreement to keep Neville alive until the case can be fully resolved. They only took over the case yesterday afternoon upon APA!'s filing a Notice of Appeal but they nevertheless promptly agreed that the interests of justice and fairness required their agreement to the Temporary Injunction.
APA! also wishes to thank its legal team, the Travis County Clerk's office and Judge Wong who all made the swift entry of the Agreed Temporary Injunction possible.
While this is great news, Neville is not free yet. Our legal team will continue to pursue every legal remedy available and look forward to moving forward with its appeal in the Travis County Courts.
