The Story of Penelope

Penelope is an 8m old DSH all black kitty that has had some very bad luck this last 2 weeks. APA! was contacted by an emergency hospital that reported a young cat had been attacked by a dog and had just had her front leg amputated. She was in need additional surgery to repair her broken jaw (because her jaw is broken she had a feeding tube placed to make sure she gets food in her belly). Unfortunately, her owners could not afford to keep her but the emergency clinic was desperate to not euthanize her.

Austin Pets Alive was ready to take her in and set to take over her care when we were informed that not only did Penelope need surgery but she was a mother of five!

As you can imagine, we are even more motivated and eager to get Penelope all fixed up so she give all of her love and attention to her sweet babies. Penelope is taking amazing care of her kittens and they are doing very well right now... but Penelope needs YOU to help her feel 100% !
