Remember our trooper of a dog that fell off an overpass and ended up with a broken leg, a pelvic-fracture and some road-rash?
Well, we have some good and not-so-good news.
Flash had his six week check up the other day at Animal Trustees of Austin for his pelvic fracture.
The good news: is that the 2 fractures are completely healed!
The not-so-good news: While doing the exam and x-rays today they discovered that Flash also has a torn ACL. Flash was still carrying his leg and it has been very painful for him. The doctors say it will be another 10-12 week recovery for Flash while being crate confined again. His surgery is scheduled for December 13th. The surgery and medicine will end up costing around $2000 total.
We had an overwhelming response from the APA! community and even from people who saw Flash's story on the news when we first pulled Flash from TLAC. We're hoping you all can step up again and help Flash get to a full recovery so he can have the wonderful, comfy life he is just waiting to have.
