Because of the generous donations made towards Morlock's consultation at Texas A&M he was able to be evaluated for surgery October 20th. Thankfully Morlock is a good candidate for surgical repair! The specialists feel two separate surgeries to address the pulmonic stenosis and diaphragmatic hernia is necessary and the first surgery, the heart surgery, needs to happen ASAP.
Historically Austin Pets Alive works tirelessly to raise the money to make these surgeries happen. Morlock is a perfect example of a dog who would be euthanized without question because his situation seems so insurmountable, let alone the cost.
We plea to our fellow animal lovers to help Morlock and other animals like him, who by no fault of their own, routinely receive death sentences for medical conditions they were either born with or had inflicted upon them.
Morlock has an appointment on hold for him pending funds November 29th. We have a chance to give the gift of life just in time for the holidays!
