We'll be having a volunteer orientation next Saturday, October 10th at 11am in Guero's garden.
We need volunteers for almost every aspect imaginable. We have positions that work directly with the pets and positions that don't work with the pets at all. Some positions require going somewhere to help out and others can be done from the comfort of your own home.
One position for which we always need help, is a transporter. Transporters pick up the pets from TLAC and take them to our spay/neuter trailer around lunchtime. After work, we need transporters to pick up the pets from the spay/neuter trailer and take them to their
I just wanted to tell you what an amazing experience it was to pick her up this morning, transport her for surgery and then deliver her safe and sound to the adoption site. Dayna and I felt so good. WE HELPED SAVE A LIFE TODAY! It was such an overwhelming feeling to know that this sweet scared little puppy that was covering me with puppy kisses had another chance at life and a loving home. I fell in love with her and if I did not have another dog at home she would definitely be mine. She is just a sweetheart and just wants someone to love. She cuddled up in my lap on the way to and from the APA trailer and just wants a safe haven where she can share her affection. At the SOCO site, Curtis put a purple "Love" bandana around her neck so I hope she captures someone's heart quickly like she captured mine.
Thanks so much for the opportunity to participate in this great organization and its wonderful work. I am so glad we became volunteers. Thanks for your great work in keeping the transport section so well synchronized.
