Dory's Swimmer Syndrome - GOAL REACHED!

OUR GOAL

$5,000

10/29 update: GOAL REACHED!

We found Dory and she is one of a kind! This seven month old gal has swimmer syndrome. She is unable to stand or walk, “paddling” her legs like a fish or turtle. Not only does swimmer syndrome prevent Dory from walking on her own, without treatment her thorax will flatten, causing problems with breathing, eating and digestion.

Right now Dory is eating like a champ, (actually like a pig, she snorts!) but since she’s an older puppy, there’s a chance rehabilitation may not be successful.

We’re partnering with Central Texas Veterinary Specialists for advanced rehabilitation for Dory. We estimate this treatment plan will cost between $5K and $10K, and are waiting for a closer price estimate.

Your gift today towards our goal gives Dory the best chance at a longer life. Without this treatment, there’s no telling how long she will live. Please chip-in today for pets like Dory!

*At times a chip-in fund will raise more than a pet needs. When this happens, rest assured that excess gifts will be used to help another pet in need of your assistance! Thank you for helping us help pets!
