3/8 update: GOAL REACHED!

This picture perfect pup just arrived at APA! in need of immediate medical attention. Mantis was brought to Palm Valley Animal Society as a stray, and our friends at PVAS need our help treating Mantis’ broken bones. This sweet girl is just four months old and is suffering from a right humerus fracture and displacement as well as an avulsion in her right hind limb.

Though we don't know how she got these injuries, we do know that they are severe and there’s no time to waste. We are working with the Central Texas Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital to perform the surgery on Sunday or Monday. The surgery is estimated to cost $5000.

Mantis' foster said, "She's the sweetest pup and a total love bug. Right now, she's pretty restricted to the crate because of her injuries. You can tell she wants to run around puppy style but she can't right now."
