Lex's Leg Deformity Surgeries - GOAL REACHED!

OUR GOAL

$7,020

2/14 update: GOAL REACHED!

Lex is a six month old puppy that just came in from Austin Animal Center. Upon arrival at the city shelter, their teams saw deformities in Lex’s front legs and they suspect they were caused by a fall from a high elevation in Lex’s early life. AAC needed our help to come up with a treatment plan for this puppy.

Upon arrival, Lex was seen by our orthopedic surgeon and was determined he needs $7,020 worth of surgeries. Lex will need a procedure to fuse both of his front wrists since he is walking directly on those joints and two more surgeries on his left knee and right leg. Without these surgeries, his front joints will cause long term bone damage so we need to correct this ASAP.

At any other shelter, Lex would immediately be euthanized due to the extent and cost of his needs. Here at APA!, we will do all that we can to give Lex the long and healthy life he deserves. But we need your help. Every gift counts so please chip-in for Lex today!

*At times a chip-in fund will raise more than a pet needs. When this happens, rest assured that excess gifts will be used to help another pet in need of your assistance! Thank you for helping us help pets!
