Lulu's Distemper Treatment - GOAL REACHED

OUR GOAL

$365

5/17 update: GOAL REACHED!

Lulu came to APA! From Palm Valley Animal Services after she was diagnosed with distemper. At average shelters, once a dog is diagnosed with distemper, they are often euthanized immediately. Though distemper can be fatal, many dogs survive and live happy lives and that’s what we want for Lulu.

Chronic dry eye is a very common symptom for distemper pups because their tear production is severely decreased. We have a goal of $365 to get 10 bottles of eye drops for all of our distemper pups. These special eye drops are called Cyclosporine and actually helps pups like Lulu produce their own tears while lubricating their eyes.

Lulu has made her way to foster now as she needs a calm home, medication and TLC to help her fight distemper. Lulu’s foster said, “I am trying to help her take little steps toward [finding a forever home].”

Chip-in to help pups like Lulu suffering from complicated distemper have a more comfortable recovery.

*At times a chip-in fund will raise more than a pet needs. When this happens, rest assured that excess gifts will be used to help another pet in need of your assistance! Thank you for helping us help pets!
