Melissa needs YOUR help as soon as possible! Melissa is a 2yr old Chihuahua mix that was found as a stray and rescued from euthanasia by Austin Pets Alive on April 8th.
She has since been diagnosed with a very bad fracture of her rear right leg (most likely she was hit by a car) that
must be surgically repaired this month! The fracture is locate at the growth plate in her leg and without surgery, or if surgery is delayed, she has a very poor prognosis of healing or living without pain. This is a time sensitive case! APA needs your support to help heal Melissa and give her as much of a normal life as possible. Melissa is a young dog and has a long life ahead of her. A pain-free life is our goal for her.
