Mitchell's Orthopedic Surgeries - FUNDING COMPLETE!

Mitchell came into our care from rural Caldwell County where he was left for dead after being run down by a car. The good samaritan who saved his life had passed by him several times as he lay in the ditch and thought him to be gone before she noticed a paw move. When she took a closer look, she realized that the dog was alive but very injured. The good samaritan then went around to the surrounding houses, showing the dog's photo, but no one recognized or claimed the dog, now named Mitchell. She brought Mitchell to her local vet to be examined and they assessed that he has two broken legs and needs surgery as soon as possible in order to make a full recovery. Not being able to afford the vet bills, she reached out to us for help. Never turning our backs to the animals that need us most, we took Mitchell into our care so this one-year-old can have his second chance at life.

Our orthopedic surgeon assessed that Mitchell needs two surgeries to make a full recovery. The first will repair his right front fracture and back hind open fracture, followed by an FHO to fix his hip dislocation. It will be a long road to recovery, but we're going to do everything we can to give this gentle one-year-old the second chance at life he deserves. We've raised $500 so far that will go towards his surgeries, but still have a ways to go to fill his full medical fund. Donate today to help Mitchell heal so he can be the carefree puppy he's meant to.
