Mrs. Potts' Salivary Gland Removal - GOAL REACHED!

OUR GOAL

$1,500

3/11 update: GOAL REACHED!

How lovely to make your acquaintance! Don’t we all wish we could be as nurturing, intelligent, and level-headed as Mrs. Potts in Beauty in the Beast? Well, her namesake fits the mold!

Mrs. Potts came to APA! as a neonate after she was found with her mom and eight other sibling puppies in Temple, TX. At the time of Mrs. Potts’ spay surgery, the APA! vet team surgically drained a swollen lump under her tongue, which was sure to fix it from bothering her in the future. Shortly after going to home, that pesky lump came back and grew in size dramatically, causing Mrs. Potts discomfort and swelling in her throat area.

Our veterinarians at APA! determined that she is suffering from an ongoing salivary mucocele (a cyst like structure that fills with salivary associated with the salivary glands) on the left side of her neck and it will need to be fully removed. The cost for the removal of the salivary gland is $1,500. Can you help chip-in for Mrs. Potts?

*At times a chip-in fund will raise more than a pet needs. When this happens, rest assured that excess gifts will be used to help another pet in need of your assistance! Thank you for helping us help pets!
