Rhino is a bouncy and playful puppy! He can’t use his back legs, so he hops around on his front legs to get to where he’s going. He’s learning how to use a wheelchair too! Rhino has swimmer’s syndrome, so his back legs stick out to the side instead of supporting his weight.
The repeated impact from hopping or dragging his legs on the ground can lead to sores and injuries over time, especially as he gets bigger. Rhino had a consultation with a specialist to see if physical therapy could help him build up strength in his back legs, but they said his best option will be a custom wheelchair to fit his stocky body! Can you chip in to help Rhino raise the last $300 he needs to zoom around on his own?
