8/13 update: GOAL REACHED!
Rocco is a rockstar and has so many fans since he came to us from Dallas Animal Services almost a year ago. Now two years old, we noticed that his hind legs seemed to be causing this boy some discomfort. His new adopter noticed that he was always adjusting himself while relaxing and guarding his left leg. Though there wasn’t any limping or obvious pain, his adopter contacted our clinic to investigate.
It turns out Rocco needs a left hip FHO surgery. This surgery will alleviate any pain caused by bone-on-bone contact. Our orthopedic surgeon will remove the femoral head so the ball and socket joint is just an empty socket.
Our goal is to raise $1,270 for his surgery. Can you get pets like Rocco back into the limelight by chipping in?
*At times a chip-in fund will raise more than a pet needs. When this happens, rest assured that excess gifts will be used to help another pet in need of your assistance! Thank you for helping us help pets!
