5/18 update: GOAL REACHED!

Smurf came to APA! from Austin Animal Center terrified, shaking, depressed and very shut down. We aren’t sure what Smurf has endured during his first year of life, but we do know he has old injuries that need to be addressed. After noticing that Smurf doesn’t use his left hind leg as much as his right, we discovered through x rays that he has multiple pelvic fractures and a left femur fracture, that’s causing swelling and pain.

Our orthopedic surgeon examined Smurf and the best course of action is for him to receive professional physical therapy. This therapy costs $500 and will help Smurf gain strength and range of movement. Will you help Smurf get therapy to correct his old injuries?
