This little tot has been a fighter from the start! Born at APA! just hours after his pregnant momma arrived in our care, Tater was born with a cleft palate. This condition results in the top part of the mouth not fully forming and can cause breathing and eating issues for life. Tater Tot had to be fed through a tube for the first few months of his life, just to make sure that he would not aspirate his puppy milk or choke on his solid food. After a first surgical attempt to correct his palate, it was discovered that Tater will need a little more extensive help. The APA! Medical Clinic needs to bring in a specialty surgeon to help Tater grow up into a fully formed Tot!
