You may remember Raven from previous posts. Raven had a congenital heart defect that was detected several months ago when she was a tiny puppy. Raven was born into the care of Austin Pets Alive! with pulmonic stenosis, an obstruction of flow from the right ventricle of the heart to the pulmonary artery.
The good news for Raven is we just found out her condition is fixable with a procedure known as a balloon valvuloplasty. This procedure is a very specialized one and would be preformed at Texas A&M’s veterinary teaching hospital.
Unfortunately this procedure is not cheap. APA! will need to raise $5,000 to cover the cost of the surgery and after care. All donations to Raven will go directly to her surgery fund and will get her closer to a healthy heart and a normal life.
