Victory was found January 8th, wandering alone in a field next to a Hutto subdivision. Victory appears to have been brutally abused, evidenced by a clean cut to her face – she is missing her nose and lips. The Hutto shelter has been taking care of Victory since her rescue, but due to the severity of her injuries, called us.
We quickly responded and worked with the shelter in Hutto to transport her back here to Austin. She is in severe pain and requires significant, ongoing medical attention. We have secured a foster family to nurse her back to health with the support of our highly-trained APA medical team. She will begin undergoing extensive medical procedures, including a skin graft, immediately.
Like you, I am angry that someone would treat a dog like Victory with such brutality. Please know that the Hutto shelter and local police are working to find the perpetrators and ensure justice for Victory. In the meantime, we can do our part by helping Victory get the treatment she needs and find a loving home.
In situations like this, it is important that we come together as a community and help those that don’t have a voice.
