Our new mobile adoption truck!
Thank you to Best Friends Animal Society for donating a 22' truck to us to use for mobile adoptions and as a rescue transport vehicle. In addition, they filled the truck with $15,000 worth of dog treats for Austin's homeless dogs!
We estimate that this mobile adoption truck is going to help us save an additional 500 lives this year!

Austin Achieves 2011 No-Kill Status
The City of Austin has announced that with 91% of all pets saved in 2011, we are officially a no-kill city. APA! brought more than 5,000 pets into our rescue program in 2011, bringing our total number of rescued pets since 2008 to over 11,500 and helping the City of Austin achieve this amazing goal.
Additionally, approximately 3,000 animals were served through our PASS program and alternative placements in 2011. Thank you for a wonderful year in lifesaving!

APA! Moves into Town Lake Animal Center
APA! is committed to providing more cage space to help the Austin Animal Center adopt out more cats and dogs, and expects to save an additional 1,000 pets a year through this partnership with the city.
