Foster Homes Needed
Austin Pets Alive! is always in need of more foster homes. The number of lives we can save is directly related to the number of foster homes we have. We need your help. Fostering a pet for as short as 24 hours can save its life.
We are looking for homes that can share their home for a set period of time, anywhere from 24 hours, one week, to a couple months and help us save a pet’s life … Learn more »

According to the American Veterinary Medical Association Census information, there are about 74,000 homes each year that become available to a new pet in Austin alone, more homes than the 6,161 needed to prevent unnecessary killing in our shelters.
