Meet Head Honcho!

Head Honcho is going to be the Big Man, the Big Enchilada, and the Grand Poobah of your heart! This chill senior guy is happy lounging in a comfy spot, hanging out with his humans and cat buddies, and getting cheek scritches. He gets along with all the people and other cats in his foster home, and is the perfect companion for someone looking for a peaceful and tranquil kitty.

Who can say no to that sleepy old man face? This weighted companion sausage is a calm, quiet boy whose favorite activities include receiving pets (including belly rubs!), snoozing in a comfy cat bed, and hanging out on window seats where he can birdwatch and catch a sunbeam. While he's not a lap cat yet and prefers to keep his paws on the floor, he is quite a fan of pets and scritches and LOVES to be brushed! His fosters can confirm that he is a most lovable sweetheart with incredibly scritchable chubby cheeks.

Preferring to observe and be near you, he'll wander around the house to check on his human and cat friends. When he feels comfortable, he politely asks for pets and looks up adoringly and slow blinks at you so you'll give him more. He is similarly polite around meal times while telling you how excited he is about his food! It's SO cute.

When excited or looking for someone (human or cat), this boy becomes chatty - he warbles, chirps, and squeaks. Head Honcho enjoys playing with spring toys and small stuffies and has the gentlest, cutest scampers and tussles with his fosters' resident cats. Little things make him slow blink with contentment - a sunbeam, a soft pillow to knead and snooze on, scritches, yummy snacks, and kitty buddies!

Throughout his time in foster care, Head Honcho has proved himself to be a polite, well-mannered cat who seems grateful whenever he gets brushed or receives scritches. He really is such a good boy - he uses scratching posts enthusiastically and the litter box consistently, and he can be trusted not to make a mess, get into mischief, or climb onto unacceptable surfaces like the counter. If left alone, he'll snooze and entertain himself. Naughty this boy is not! He is SO GOOD.

Head Honcho came to APA! with an eye injury that resulted in partial vision loss. While it appears that he has mostly adjusted to decreased vision in one eye, he can take a bit to adjust to new surroundings and be a little skittish if startled. However, this condition does not at all impair his ability to make friends with other cats! When he sees a cat, he excitedly chatters at them - he's so eager to say hello! Especially in the evening, Head Honcho warbles invitations to his fosters' resident cats to hang out or play with him.

Gentle and every cat's best friend, the chance to groom, play with, and snuggle with other cats makes Head Honcho's day! He'd do well in a quiet home with a patient person and, if possible, a friendly, calm cat friend around his age! He's an experienced office buddy too and, because he is so gentle and well-behaved, might also be a great beginner cat.

This scrappy yet delightful senior street cat with big tom cheeks and a busted up eye is extremely endearing. He's the goodest meatball! Come meet this sweet boy today!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
